Caragana Weeping Siberian Pea Shrub

Caragana: Weeping Siberian Pea Shrub

Deciduous shrub with yellow flowers in spring. Weeping forms are really the only type worthwhile in the landscape. Easy to grow. Prefers the cooler climates. Don't look for it higher than zone 7.

Chamaecyparis (Cypress)
Lots of varieties in this group of plants. One of the most popular is commonly called Gold Thread Cypress. Does best in full sun in rich, moist, well-drained soil. Can be used for countless landscape situations with so many varieties to choose from.
Gold Thread Cypress Gold Thread Cypress
Golden evergreen.
Thread-like drooping branches.
Can grow into a large pyramidal shrub or kept smaller with pruning.

Green Thread Cypress Similar to Gold Thread but leans more to green with just a hint of gold.  This one doesn't get as tall and is more roudned.   Not sure of the exact name but their is a variety called "Green Thread"

Nootkatenis Pendula

Nootkatensis Pendula
Beautiful, graceful,
elegantly arranged pendulous branches and rich green foliage.

This plant is getting very popular because of it's interesting growth habit.

I do need a new picture because it has grown out since this picture was taken and is very full.

Cornus Kousa
This is the only dogwood we carry at the nursery. It is resistant to the anthracnose that is destroying many of the native dogwoods in the Mid Atlantic and New England states. Grows about 20ft.high and wide. Dark green summer foliage changes to reddish purple or scarlet in fall. Flowers in June lasting 6 weeks or more. Late in August red fruit resembling a raspberry adorns the trees. No serious pests or diseases. It used to be only found in white but more and more varieties are appearing with pink flowers.
Cornus Kousa Satomi This is the flowers of the variety Satomi

Cytisus Moonlight Broom Cytisus "Moonlight Broom"
(Scotch broom)
Prefers sandy, infertile soils which are somewhat on the dry side. Full sun. Prune after flowering. Easy to grow. If you insist on drenching your plants with water and fertilizer this plant is not for you.
Strong perfume fragrance.  Showy and used in flower arrangements by florists.
