Bloom's
Nursery located in Clearfield, Pennsylvania was opened April of 1990.
We started as a retail
landscape plant nursery to supply the local area with quality shrubs
and perennials along with a few ornamental trees. We are still there,
though on a smaller scale, and have
moved online to extend our reach to gardening enthusiasts around the
United States and beyond so we can share our love of gardening.
Martha Bloom and her husband, Roger both have an interest in gardening
and landscaping so decided to turn that interest into a business.
Roger
studied landscape and turf grass management at Pennsylvania State University
and Martha took correspondence courses in plants and landscape provided
by Pennsylvania State University.
Martha also took the Master Gardeners course with Clearfield County's
cooperative extension and has studied numerous books and magazines on
gardening. As the years have gone by, practical knowledge has
been accumulated along with the book learning.
